So, some quests give better rewards for your time than others. Take the easy reward days (like Rocktail) as incentives to do them across all your characters, quickly, and take the more difficult or less rewarding quests (Coldstones) as a sign that you may want to do something else today. It's really not the end of the world if you don't want to do something in a game. Grab the quests everyday, save them for when you are feeling up to it, or when guildies are planning on doing the mission anyway.

I really liked getting into Rragar's for an easy 105 coins, until I realized that all of the Fleshreaver Hounds now have RoJ in their arsenal. That dungeon no longer seems like it has its proper worth to me anymore.

Mike O'Brien: The Guild Wars 2 team is twice the size of the original Guild Wars team, so you can imagine the level of art, content, and production values we're putting into the game. The game is already beautiful, and is getting more so every day. In addition to the normal playtesting of everyday development, the entire team logs on every Wednesday to simply play the game together, and we always have a lot of fun.

The people in this thread are not QQing about the missions being bad/easy/not new, but just about the unbalanced reward coming with it.

The 'entire team' logs on every wednesday to go kill some charr in pre searing, didn't you know that? They buffed healing breeze some time ago, just to make it a little harder to kill the oakhearts. /Sarcmodeoff

Some Quests are hard, others are not. So?

I bet no one complained about killling Molotov in 5 or less mins on multiple chars?

Dont really have anything to complain over, did about 7 quests without even checking out what the rewards are, just happy bout the new motivation they gave me, was almost about to give up the game and that after 4 years.

A little Skill and a LOT of Luck

Zaishen quests are good at drawing people to one area but usually i find myself going through any challenging missions with guildies or H/h. The Pugs nowadays are still terrible, usually with one or two decent/good players...

Raisu was a perfect example for that, one group wanted me to solo monk it, another group just leeroyed half the map. Had to go get a guild team...

The rewards are certainly a bit unbalanced. I did Molotov HM on several chars, and today I finally killed Rragar HM on one char after a couple of tries (them Fleshreaver Hounds are nightmares!). Reward for these is almost the same. The Coldstones HM were quite doable in any PUG, while not so easy as Molotov.

Blacktide Den HM and Raisu Palace HM are very doable. I did Blacktide with H/H on a couple chars without a single death. Raisu with PUGs, no fails and finished from 11min to 16min, master's reward on all goes (tip: just take the two hench monks, they get celestial skills and easily keep the party alive. An aura of the lich MM is recommended).

I haven't attempted Thunderhead Keep though, but it seems it would be much harder than Blacktide and Raisu.

All in all, the rewards don't really factor in the (objective?) difficulty of the quests.

Meh, it would have been nice if it were more balanced time vs coins (rocktail vs coldstones), but I don't especially care. If I think a quest isnt worth the time vs the reward (ie. JQ today), then I won't do it at all. Whereas if it is well worth the reward, I will do it multiple times (ie. TA). Besides, it stirs up some new interest in old areas and THAT is what it is all about. I had never seriously played TA before yesterday, and my guildies and I agreed that it was some of the most fun we have had in a while.

My new post,
LF, partner to 2man 6 discord,,, eg. zaishen bounty, zaishen mission.

Hooked up with one other person with 3 discord necros everytime within 2 min.

with partner:
1)Vanquished Perdition Rock after killing coldstone bounty
2)beaten raisu in 13 minutes, HM
I am only doing the zaishen quests and bounties for areas i haven't completed yet for titles in HM. This is the best thing this game has seen in a long time. I would say this is better than some other stupid elite area, that only about 10 people farm religiously.

EDIT:

I'm glad they don't let you put zcoins in storage and I don't think its a bug. That way people with 7 pvp chars can't farm the f out of the overpaid rewards and give them to their main. I don't think they will let you do that later on even if they let you put them in storage

It is, if only because there's more potential for fail right there. PUGged Raisu HM, finished all bonus objectives on first try.

Took me four tries to do the same for THK.

Seriously, though, if you don't think the quests are worth it, don't take it. Or, if they're not worth PUGging, grab them, hold on to them, and guildteam it. You can hold up to three, after all. Nobody's forcing you to rush through them each time you get them. I do think the quest rewards are unbalanced, but, eh, nothing really worth crying over. Some days you get awesomely easy ones, some days you don't.

This, everything balances out.

I actually found Thunderhead Keep ridiculously easy compared to the others. JQ, most of the grind = waiting. I did give up on the TA quest because i was sick of getting to 4 and getting wiped by the same stupid team that must have had 100+ streak. So i just got 120 coins out of that.

The rewards are fine, Anet just needs to make the bags cost more and put some other, better items that are worth questing for. Atm, once everyone has got their bags the districts will become empty again.

The HM bonus coins should have been much more.
No, Blacktide Den was extremely easy in HM.

Yea completely forgot that Rragar's now have beast RoJ hounds. That was freaking nuts. There's one group has like 5 hounds and 2 harrower's and it was just insta wipe because i had no clue. Didn't help i was helping a guildie do it on his assassin, soo we were gimped a bit, until i just started having him sit back and then after i pulled have him gank a target, cuz i didnt even bother looking at his bar, mostly because i don't care, cuz we just roll though and kill everything.

But still, that reward for Rragnar's was stupid compared to the rest of them. Still can't believe i agreed to help go through it. Its not like its a short run there either, but the 75 coins or whatever it was. Was definately NOT worth the hour and half running there and doing the whole dungeon in HM.

Oh and just because the team may play together once week, definitely doesn't mean they go do HM dungeons for fun. I don't think any of the HM dungeons are really fun. They are all full of some gimmick group waiting to spike you down. Not they are hard per se, they just require some planning.
